Shattuck sweeps weekend in U.P.; takes league lead

Visitors dominate NLHL action; SSM sweeps, Soo takes 3 pts
HOUGHTON, Mich – The visitors dominated this weekend in the Northern Lakes Hockey League as the Soo Indians took three out of a possible four points from the Ojibwa Eagles by tying 5-5 Saturday night and winning 3-2 Sunday morning, and the Shattuck St. Mary’s Sabres took two games in Thunder Bay, 5-4 and 6-5.

Indians sweep, move to 3-1-2 in last six NLHL games
Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. – The Soo Indians now have one loss in their last six Northern Lakes Hockey League games after sweeping the Marquette Electricians over the weekend. The Indians (3-5-4 NLHL, 8-19-7 overall) topped Marquette 2-1 Saturday afternoon and 6-1 Sunday morning.

Alex Roy tops scoring list; earns player of the month
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Alex Roy, second-year forward with the Ojibwa Eagles, has skyrocketed his way to the top of the Northern Lakes Hockey League scoring charter with three goals and eight points in the month of November, earning him NLHL Player of the Month honors.
LANSING – The Capital Centre Pride (7-0-1) stayed unbeaten in Northern Lakes Hockey League action this weekend by sweeping the visiting Ojibwa Eagles (2-5-2) in a two-game series; 5-3 Saturday afternoon and 6-3 Sunday morning.
