HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Shattuck St. Mary’s Sabres (1-0-2) made their first of two trips through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this weekend as they played a pair of games against the Soo Indians (0-3-1) before finishing up the weekend with a game against the Ojibwa Eagles (0-0-1).
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Capital Centre Pride made quite the debut as the Lansing-based outfit swept the Soo Indians to start their inaugural Northern Lakes Hockey League season.
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Marquette Electricians cruised to a 2008-09 NLHL-season title, and with the first coaches poll of the 2009-2010 season, it looks like they’re the favorite again this season.
SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Soo Indians have announced a change in their coaching staff. Rick Corbiere has stepped down as head coach and assistant coach, Jerry Harwood, has been appointed to take over the reigns of the team.
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Lakes Hockey League’s master schedule for the 2009-2010 is now available at northernlakeshockey.com.
This year’s NLHL season includes six teams including three returning teams; the Marquette Electricians, Soo Indians and Ojibwa Eagles as well as three new teams; the Shattuck St. Mary’s Sabres, Thunder Bay Kings and Lansing Capital Centre Pride.
LANSING, Mich. – The Capital Centre Pride have replaced the Green Bay Jr. Gamblers in the Northern Lakes Hockey League. The move, effective immediately, will keep the NLHL at six teams as previously announced, giving each team a total of 10 home games, and 10 road games.
FARIBAULT, Minn. - As discussed and approved at the May 16 Northern Lakes Hockey League meeting, the NLHL announces the date and location for the inaugural NLHL Playoffs. The tournament will take place February 19-21, 2010, and will be hosted by Shattuck St. Mary's in Faribault, Minn.
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Lakes Hockey League, two months removed from its inaugural season, is proud to announce the additions of the Thunder Bay Kings and Shattuck St. Mary’s Sabres. They will be joining the Marquette Electricians, Soo Indians, Green Bay Jr. Gamblers and Ojibwa Eagles for the upcoming NLHL season, which will be expanding from 12, to 20 games per team.
